Jesus. The Cubs are just in a bad place. Now, the Brewers are out kicking their coverage and of the tribe were 5 games back of the twins (and no one else) Id probably not worry, but they are under .500 going to the break. Not optimal.

Yeah. Dunno. I don't follow it closely enough to know what they should do but... I've seen enough teams struggle after the CS rounds, it's real for sure. And no team is complete and injury free the first half anymore. I've been trying to be patient with the tribe to where you need to be in first place or close and take control in August and that's fine. But 5-6 games back now... Something has to give. And like the Tribe they aren't pitching well and not consistent on offense like they should be. But that's all relative one is 3 up, one is 5 back.

Agreed. Not happy with the Tribe so far, but definitely content to be 3 up. Stay afloat until August, but I'd much rather be afloat 3 games up, then 5.5 back.

Brother-in-law is big fan/former season ticket holder and routinely updates me with rants. All 3 facets seem to be broken and he mentioned clubhouse issues. Still think talent rises against that division.

Cubs have given up 80 (!!!) first inning runs.

There's no being happy if you don't play in October. Period. Cubs aren't playing well enough to have that chance. You can look like shit now and no one cares if you're in... Tribe is playing well enough to be in. That's a fucked up first inning stat. Playing ahead is a lot easier.
