I don't know if Chris realized that with the [lack of] BBIQ on this team, he needs to handhold this team and get on them. I'd say, overall Butler was recruiting lower level recruits that knew how to play the game. That isn't the case here. He isn't doing much with these guys to help, from my amateur eyes.

Jump on me all you want, the problem is conference pride. We, as fans, give 2 shits less what the rest of the conference does. We root for Ohio State and that's it. I get the whole Michigan thing, but down here in the South, they hate the Big ten. Clemson just didn't want to beat Ohio State last year in football, they refused to lose to a big ten school. Plain and simple. Some of our asshat fans and ESPN tough guys have really given our University a bad reputation. Why do you think it's hard for us to beat the SEC? Same exact reason. They refuse to lose to a big ten school. I know we beat Alabama, but throughout the years, we have struggled. Believe it or not, all the jokes about hillbillies, toothless rednecks who live in trailers really gets old to the South. That makes them wanna kick our ass even more. Trust me. Our fanbase makes us look bad at times. We laugh at the whole SEC, SEC, SEC chant, but what our conference lacks is pride, and I don't get it. If Wisconsin beats us Saturday night, you can bet your sweet ass I'm rooting for them to win it all. Here in the South, they can't let go of the Civil War. They absolutely hate the North!

Our basketball sucks cause half the team transfered the last 2 years not cause of conference pride.

The Big Ten has plenty of pride, even arrogance. The foosball is part of it, but it's not centered around the foosball. We know that we're better than them at pretty much everything. They know that they are not, never have been and never will be our equals at anything other than the foosball, and that's why it matters so much more to them.

I don't give a damn about what S-E-C chanting goobers think of the North, the Big Ten, Ohio State, or me. :lol:

If you need your conference rivals to succeed in order to feel good about yourself, something is lacking in your world.

Goddamn this place is letting in too many Bucknuts cast offs these days.

Any way, the BB team is seriously lacking stamina. They come out in games and flat look awesome. Late in the game, after halftime, they just look flat. I guess that happens when you only have 8 guys that can really play. Even young guys run out of gas. I love their heart and effort especially early in the games but we're going to have to realize that the depth and talent just isnt there. Give Holt a chance to build something here folks, this year is going to be rough.
