Cleveland Browns (2012 season)

really, belotti? i wonder who his OC was and who called all the plays while stewart was there.

people apparently have vast misconception about what oregon's bread and butter plays are. they aren't the zone read.

Kelly and Stewart overlapped for just one year (2007) at Oregon FYI.

I guess the more articles I read about Kelly the more I would like him to become the next HC of the Browns. I mean if he can go up to New England and teach those guys a few tricks he is certainly good enough to coach the Browns and he will fit his style into the Browns roster from everything that I ever read.

All the plays for 2007, ok fine. Regardless, he was inherited. (and a freak of nature). And in reality I agree with the idea that Kelly would probably be fine with power backs, but, the reality is that he recruited James and Barner... not Stewart (and I think Blounte was a JC kid, so, no idea how he got to Oregon). Again, all I'm saying is, there is a tendency among all people to deal with the devil you know.

I'll assume I'm not sure what "bread and butter" means then.

i'll let you count the number of times they run basic zone run plays vs. the number of zone read plays tomorrow night. you won't like the answer.

yes, great way to conduct a debate. say something that's false, have several people call you on it, then lob brilliant salvos like this response. here's a short little blurb that should help you grasp it a little better.

Yes, great way to conduct a debate. Find a post, make a snide one-liner, continue being a dick after being responded to, then whine. At least tibor didn't whine. You have done this since you got here though, so I shouldn't be surprised. Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back, since this is apparently the sum total of your value.

Oregon offered 7 **** RBs last year. 3 of the top-4 were 215+ lbers, including TJ Yeldon.

2011 - 2 **** RBs, weighing 195 & 218

2010 - 5 ***** RBs, including Marcus Lattimore & Michael Dyer, who are definitely prototypical bruisers.

They love their speedsters but they chase power too. They just haven't landed them.

wow. vagisil can be purchased at any local drug store.

but please try and sidetrack this discussion further because you were brazenly wrong about oregon's personnel and got called on it by multiple people.

Wow, good one. Your one-liners have almost reached third grade level. Keep trying though. Am impressed with "brazenly" however.

Bust my ass: watching film, dealing with egos, bullshit from the fans, bullshit from the press, sleeping in the film room. No time for family or the things I like to do.

Enjoy my day: eating the best food, dealing with TV dipshits, meeting the best players around the league weekly, sitting down with the best coaches around the league, sleeping in a 5 star hotel. I work for a few hours a day.

Well, I guess I was right. Bread and Butter isn't what you think it means.

Frequency doesn't equal "Bread and Butter" - if that were the case "Dave" would be Tressel's. I don't remember Dave winning a lot of games by himself.

Having said that, I'll try to watch the first half, if I find more non-read run plays than I do straight zone runs, I'll be pretty surprised. I think they even read on their power.

There's no red herring on the QB either. The threat of the run must exist. If your position is that he's gonna come in and put in a 1990's Denver Broncos Zone blocking Spread-a-mathingie type offense with Ricahrdson playing the part of Terrell Davis, that's fine, but, stop saying things that are contrary to what is easily observable at Oregon.

Can Kelly be sucessful running a different offense in the NFL? Of course.

Can he be sucessful running something akin to his current offense in the NFL, probably. Not with Weeden at QB. (insert coach/offense name here for that one)

Saban.. Mel Tucker.. Jim Tressel.. David Shaw.. Chip Kelley (only after reading all this crap here)

So, because I wouldn't mind those guys - none of those will happen..

The guy who, in my IMO, would be a helluva NFL coach:

Jim Tomsula
