Cleveland Browns (2013 Season)

I like taking a good player from each of our biggest division rivals at our biggest positions of need. Even if they aren't the BPA the easiest way to the playoffs is to get better than the Ravens and Steelers.

Another bonus of filling OLB and CB with FA's is that they could look at Warmack in the first round. That alone could improve the running game dramatically. If opponents have to stack the box to stop Richardson, Weeden should have a field day throwing to Gordon, Little, Cameron, and Benjamin.

anyone familiar with Groves (OLB) from the Cardinals. What seemed like a natural fit since he played under Horton and Lewis (CB) from Pittsburgh was originally coached by Horton when he was at Pittsburgh. I guess I am looking for ties between our current coaching staff and available free agents.

It would still be good to bring a guy like Kruger in to get on his good side and see what other bidders are willing to offer. I agree that there is no point of going full retard to sign him when you could use the #6 pick in the draft to get a starter at his spot. Too bad all the OLB's have seemed to underwhelm so far at the combine.

I have to wonder how a guy like JMJ or Robertson would be at OLB in a 3-4. If they do go with Sheard at one OLB the other one would need to be decent in coverage as well as a pass rusher. Dawgs By Nature wrote a pretty harsh article about how Sheard wasn't a OLB.

From everything that I have read, they are looking at JMJ as one of the inside linebackers and Robertson will probably play in nickel situations.

My problem is that if Kruger really wants $12 million I think we could fill a couple other holes in free agency with that type of money and possibly get a lesser talent for OLB.

Is Kruger at $12 million going to be that much better than a player slotted at 6, say Ansah, Jordan, etc.? Although I'm still going to toot the horn for SMU's Margus Hunt every chance I can....6'7 that runs 4.6? Yes please!

Gee whiz. This sounds familiar... *scrolls back a few pages*

We'll see how it pans out. I feel Sheard is very, very limited in coverage.
I wouldn't be opposed to see how any of our LB's fare on the outside. I'm still curious to see if Emmanuel Acho can contribute at the position once he's back from injury.

I hate to say it, but Jarvis Jones is probably looking pretty good to the front office right now. I'm not conveying that's the pick I would want, but It wouldn't surprise me.

I am hopeful that Banner will not pay that type of money and I am pretty sure he will not. I am curious about Ansah and Hunt. They are both pretty raw and probably would be good as pass rushers but they probably will have trouble adjusting to drop into coverage just like Sheard will:(

I will take Milliner or Jordan.

I wasn't saying I agree, but that guy seems to have a pretty low opinion of Sheard as an OLB. If he can stay healthy Jones is probably the best value at #6 unless they go for a sure thing like Warmack. If they could somehow pull a trade down to the 10-15 range and add a second rounder I think the value would be great. The talent level in this draft seems to suck for top 10 picks.

Hopefully Milliner runs fast enough to earn the #6 pick, but not so fast that he goes top 5.

It's Milliner or Warmack at this point. I can't see Oakland going QB. Its either DL or CB. Sharrif Floyd maybe? Unless Detroit takes Werner I can't see Milliner falling to #6. Unless he runs a subpar 10/20 split and 40yard.
