You guys posted this in the 2016 Browns thread and there is a 2017 Cleveland Browns thread for what it is worth:biggrin:
@Dryden and @CFPBuckeye are also in the wrong thread.

Hey now, @NJ-Buckeye's Super Bowl post that I replied to is still part of the 2016 season. That, or it would belong in the Never Never Never Cleveland Browns thread. Couldn't find that one.

Just because Atlanta was beating the shit out of Green Bay yesterday did not mean that Joe Buck and Troy had to throw some crap at the Browns about not having a QB and Atlanta having Mack and Gabriel. It is not like people who already follow the Browns do not know that. So fuck Joe and Troy.

I remember when the Browns had Mack and Gabriel.

They went 3-13.

Mack didn't want to be in Cleveland and Gabriel was a poor mans Hawkins. They're both better off on the Falcons than they would have been in another season in Cleveland. I hated the Rich Rod slot dot WR corp we had 2 years ago. Pryor, Coleman, Hawk is a much better group, just with worse OL and QB play. Schwartz was really the only one they should have tried to keep. Hopefully Erving isn't a piece of shit at RT and we don't miss Schwartz next year.

Now that they've signed Collins they can franchise Pryor if they have to, but they're in a position to overpay to not have to deal with guys being FA's next year. IIRC not offering Mack a good long term deal when he was restricted was what made him want out of town.

Considering the browns are coaching the senior bowl and most of the scouting staff will be there, I fail to see the issue.
The problem I see is Brown has final roster and draft control. If he's not down there ... I mean I guess I can see your point... you can punch numbers into excel from your hospital bed.

Joe Thomas says to take a pass rusher at #1. Thank goodness for Joe Thomas.

Honestly the offense wouldn't be that bad if Erving could be a decent RT (questionable), they can find a dominate C or RG (depending where Greco plays), and a QB that can manage a game. WR's, RB's, and TE's are good enough. The big key will be if they can turn the sieve of a defense into a dominate unit.

You're right, but Erving sucks, I doubt they find a dominant C or RG, and an offense that isn't "that bad" isn't going to get anywhere with a defense of historically bad proportions. I say, address the defense and worry about the offense later.
