Well there’s no reason to do it just to do it. Which one of these guys this year is worth the #1 overall? None. And Kizer isn’t going to become anything but a mediocre QB so the Browns are f’d in the a no matter what this year (and in the future since they’ll be wasting the top pick on a bum.)

I don't know, I think Rosen's gonna be a very good NFL QB. Problem is, if they draft him, does he hold them hostage?

I think he can be, too, but that is a messy situation. Darnold doesn’t impress and Allen is a reach at 1 when they could get him at 4 or lower barring a trade down. I don’t think any is worth #1.

If they knew Rosen wasn't going to cause any drama, I'd take him #1 without hesitation. Just let him sit for a year, and break the cycle of endlessly throwing your shiny new toys out behind a wall of shit to get all broken. But, given what he has said, it doesn't appear it would be drama-free.

At some point you gotta take a QB up high if you believe he's the one ... doesn't matter what we all think if the FO thinks he's the one then gotta take him... JMHO

Luck, maybe. Cam Newton was a tuck and run QB, not a good example at all. Wentz was horrible against pressure as a rookie.

Being bad under pressure is a standard knock on most QBs and is generally a weak argument.

No, saying something like "they don't have the intangibles, leadership, moxie, rawrrr rawrrr" is a weak argument that is beyond cliche'. Saying I believe your mental clock doesn't speed up and your mechanics/decision making break
down when faced with a premium pass rush is a legitimate argument and concern.

You mention that Darnold threw for 300+ yards without tossing in how many of those yards were had in the 2nd half after being down nearly 3 scores, against subs (at times) and let us not forget the Weeden-esque stare down on the pick 6.

That game also wasn't the only time issues Darnold had a theme for crept up during the season.
