Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

Wonder what the hell Browns fans are going to do during the first round of the draft this week? It will be the first time in forever they don't have a Top 5 pick to predict, analyze, and moan about.
I am personally just sitting back and watching the hype with popcorn and booze because this feels ripe for an epic cleveland trainwreck....

Nothing sexy - DB's, a linebacker or two coupled with maybe some late gems on both lines. This team needs depth that might contribute and develop, not star power right now.
I think they need to find a good LB somewhere. Their depth there is very questionable to say the least.. However, they are too far back in the draft to find a quality LB there so…. They need depth in the defensive backfield desperately. They also will probably take a OT sometime in the draft. I just hope Dorsey is not so enamored with Simmons that he trades up just to get him. That is my only concern.

I've enjoyed what little I've watched on Trey Watson. Kid jumped off screen when tOSU played him and he might be one of those mid round guys that comes in and plays, perhaps not at an elite level, but enough to develop into a long term starter with experience. Of course this would warrant a move from Schob, but he has shown the ability to do that already.

I wonder how far Sheffield will fall with his injury? Kid is physically incredibly gifted but needs some good coaching on technique and some of the mental aspects. Physical tools are all there. I do see a few interesting prospects on the interior offensive and defensive line that are day 3 picks. Haven't watched too many tackles outside of the hot and cold season Prince had with the Bucks.

edit: Agreed on simmons. I feel like with all we've done in free agency that trading back up into the first will mortgage too many future assets for the "win now" mentality. I have Phil Savage flashbacks still from that.

The key is to also give yourself the ability to keep this window of potential winning open for the next 6-8 years.

The more I watch Jerry Tillery the more I hope he falls to the top of the 2nd. That's about the only spot I would be comfortable seeing Dorsey move up to. Mainly because it won't break the bank in doing so. But also seeing a player like that potentially on the board vs Simmons with a major injury is a no brainer to me.

Reportedly tried to move up in to the first round for three different players but didn’t want to get fleeced.

Dorsey declined to name the three players, but one is believed to be Mississippi State defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons based on Dorsey’s effusive pre-draft praise of Simmons, according to Cabot.

Dorsey trying to build an All-Felon roster of women abusers.... Given his story with some of the picks from KC.... i’m not sure i’m entirely comfortable with that...

I am not heartbroken they didn't get him. They certainly don't need to burn resources on aquiring idiots like that. I'm not happy about the hunt thing, but if you're gonna do it, free agent at a position you really Don't need and give the guy a second chance and get his shit straight and may he can help you down the road... Ok maybe. Simmons went what? 17? No need to go up a full round for that shit to stockpile a dude for probably next year.

There are still a number of guys on the board that can help right away in my IMO.
