I don't mind the Greedy pick. But the kid needs the mental work and somebody to help bring the aggressive mentality out in him. You can't be a pussy in the NFL.
Re: the Sione pick. I kind of see why, especially at points watching his tape vs Wisconsin. But much like the Gmen with Jones - I question the wisdom of "why there". It was a pick that clearly could have been made day 3.

Decent draft. Not as good as last years imo but taking some fliers on DBs and LBs ... hoping competition churns some good contributors out.
I love the idea of Greedy opposite Ward. It's a good contrast imo. The Tulane kid is another playmaker. Less impressed with the Miami and BYU guys.
Some reaches and it's not like these were character guys.
Dorsey has been a godsend... but the character stuff is concerning.

I thought all the pics were pretty solid but really do not understand the kicker. Maybe he is a friend of Baker's:wink:

I remember watching the BYU bowl game and was overwhelmed by Takitaki. The guy was a tackling machine. I know the opponent was from the MAC but still… The guy was very impressive.

They need some LB's and DB's so the addition of Wilson along with BYU man should help. Not to mention Redwine who might be able to play some corner in addition to safety.

Dorsey is probably taking a flyer on the OL guy from SE Missouri State but what the hell. Never know what he might become. Maybe nothing… Maybe something.

Johnson from Tulane was a seventh round pick so again what the hell. If he turns out to be a good addition taking him in the seventh round certainly does not hurt anything.

I guess I am not as worried about the character issues with guys because I think every team in the NFL has them.

Taki has some character issues in the background but he’s also made a concerted effort to turn it around. He then was voted a team captain so maybe that shows that he had the same revelation that I needed to have when I was that age. You know, the “don’t be an asshole and try to be a decent guy” revelation. Some people have to fuck up before they realize how lucky they are and what it is they have and then that’s all it takes. Who knows but this team needed DB and LB help and the draft surely targeted those areas. I can’t complain, yet.

Back to Taki...I like him. He’s gone through it and I think he’s come out the other side a better person. He’s kinda like Baker where he’s faced the adversity, fought back and made something of himself. I’m not going to knock this pick one bit. Honestly, I’m not even worried about him.

He sounds like a guy that will do whatever they ask him to do at 110%. Might not be a guy that ever cracks the starting lineup, but I bet we hear his name a lot.

Actually I think he just said that the Browns are going to the Super Bowl:

“John Dorsey did a great job just getting the right guys in the right positions,’’ he said. “I feel like this team will be the Super Bowl champs this year. Add me to the team, you have a great corner that can play man to man and even turn the ball back over and let Baker Mayfield capitalize.

“Once the team gets together, it is going to be a dominant team, we are going through the whole league and we are definitely making that Super Bowl.”
