Strike 1 was having a good team for the first time since the return. Strike 2 was filling all the holes with FA's so they didn't have any major holes to fill in the draft. Strike 3 was drafting smart with no head scratchers. So we're out of things to complain about. Sorry I've been drinking. Very happy with this draft.

I feel like nobody hates the Browns anymore. Or at least didn't for well over a decade until they just recently got their shit together. How could anybody "hate" the handicapped kid? I came of age in the mid-late eighties, when the old AFC Central was full of great rivalries. Browns, Steelers, Bengals & Oilers all had some measure of success and all HATED each other.

Browns-Steelers was one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL
Browns-Bengals was brutal...Sam Wyche, "You don't live in Cleveland!"
Everyone hated Glanville.
"The House of Pain"
"The Jungle"
Three Rivers
Playing in cavernous Municipal Stadium with brutal winds off of the Lake

NOBODY has looked at the Browns as a rival for 25 years. They were just an expected "W."

And while I learned to embrace the comedy they provided, it's good to see quality football and a real team in Cleveland for the first time in 25 years. Hell, longer, really. 1994 was a good team, but it was a one-off. The last time they could be considered a consistent contender would be '86-'89.

I hated the Browns for being unimaginably incompetent. It was frustrating to watch them screw themselves year after year. Now I can finally respect them

Cleveland Browns sign Malik McDowell, ex-Seattle Seahawks 2nd-round pick yet to play in NFL

The Cleveland Browns have signed free-agent defensive tackle Malik McDowell, who is attempting an NFL comeback following a series of injuries and off-field issues.

The 2017 second-round pick out of Michigan State was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks, but never played for the team after suffering a head injury in an ATV accident and was ultimately released.

McDowell also was sentenced to 11 months in jail and three years of probation after pleading guilty in 2019 to a series of crimes in Michigan. He was charged with assault, resisting arrest and operating a vehicle while intoxicated after an incident in which he fought with two officers after a DUI stop. Then he was found in possession of a stolen truck, which led to a charge of receiving and concealing stolen property. As part of McDowell's sentencing in Oakland County (Michigan), a judge ordered him to write four essays on finding meaning in life other than committing crimes, the importance of respecting the rule of law, the principles of the Declaration of Independence and how his behavior undermined them, and the importance of respecting property rights.

Au contraire, Mssr. The Cincinnati's matched the Browns ineptness and always made a deal out the two games with TNFLTUN
