I feel like nobody hates the Browns anymore. Or at least didn't for well over a decade until they just recently got their shit together. How could anybody "hate" the handicapped kid? I came of age in the mid-late eighties, when the old AFC Central was full of great rivalries. Browns, Steelers, Bengals & Oilers all had some measure of success and all HATED each other.

Browns-Steelers was one of the biggest rivalries in the NFL
Browns-Bengals was brutal...Sam Wyche, "You don't live in Cleveland!"
Everyone hated Glanville.

NOBODY has looked at the Browns as a rival for 25 years. They were just an expected "W."

And while I learned to embrace the comedy they provided, it's good to see quality football and a real team in Cleveland for the first time in 25 years. Hell, longer, really. 1994 was a good team, but it was a one-off. The last time they could be considered a consistent contender would be '86-'89.

Nobody hates the Browns.....yet. I used to root for the Red Sox just because they weren't the Yankees. Then they won and their fans revealed themselves to be typical Boston fans. Sorta same with the Cubbies. It's like......aww cute, look at them try. But the second they win their fans just turn into complete shit heels. So it's on Browns fans to not make people hate the team if they keep winning.

Former Notre Dame standout Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is widely-considered one of this NFL Draft cycle's early-round steals after sliding to the Cleveland Browns at No. 52 overall in the second round. College football's Butkus Award winner last fall, Owusu-Koramoah stock fell after a heart issue was discovered by the league during medical evaluations and re-checks.

Owusu-Koramoah says there's nothing the Browns, who considered taking him in the first round, need to be worried about moving forward.

“You get news,” Owusu-Koramoah said this week. “You get a lot of news within the draft and the process you’re going through. There was something that came up in terms of what guys were saying, but in terms of me, in terms of the personal aspect there were no really heart issues at all. There was nothing that was too ticked off and we went back to Notre Dame and looked at the medical records and everything.

"I never really had any heart issues or anything going on there. You know, you hear a lot of things, but you’ve got to get it from the source.”

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Owusu-Koramoah had an unspecified heart issue that came to light late in the draft process and was, according to Schefter, serious enough to cause concern for the majority of teams in the league.

The Bungles are a terrible franchise with terrible ownership, yet between 2005-2015 they made the playoffs 7 times in 11 seasons and 6 times won at least 10 games. Yes, their playoff ineptitude is well-documented, but at least they made the playoffs.

The Clowns between 1999-2019 (21 seasons) made the playoffs ONCE and had 19 losing seasons, including 10 with at least 12 losses.

The Bungles are bad, but the Clowns were one of the worst run franchises in the history of sports. Two decades of abject futility.

"Nevertheless, what I am worried about again are the things that I am dealing with in terms of whatever my heart is and whatever my heart is not – my heart is 100% sure; my heart is 100% healthy. You could see that going through the tests, going through the EKGs and going through the past MRIs and things like that. It is not an issue. It is not something that I am worried about. I am looking forward to getting on the field and going.”

Earlier this month, Browns GM Andrew Berry addressed the same concerns when asked and said there were no concerns.

"We just thought he was one of the more talented prospects in this year's class,” Berry said. "He's completely healthy. There's really nothing in his background that would suggest he can't have a nice, long career."
