Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

President Barack Obama to Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue: ‘Tell J.R. and everybody to put on a shirt

Obama:

“Tell J.R. and everybody to put on a shirt, though.”

“You can’t just be walking around without a shirt for the last – the whole week.”

“Now, Shumpert’s taking off his shirt. Kyrie is taking off his shirt. C’mon, man.”

“But, I guess if you’re built like that.”

That tells me the Wizards are one of the dumbest franchises in sports.

 That is why the Wizards will never be relevant.

They were when they were the Bullets. They went PC, signed washed up MJ, then drafted Kwame Brown. The rest is history, and these greats are not impressed.

JR will be in a Cavs uniform for 2016-2018

The negotiation might take a while, but JR will sign with the Cavs. He's too crazy for anyone else to give him a big contract. I'm sure there will be a couple teams interested in Delly. Cavs might regret not giving him the 4 mil he wanted last year although they would have ended up paying 12 for him last year thanks to the tax. I still don't know how much value he has since he isn't a starting PG and ended up out of the rotation by the Finals. The best thing for the Cavs would be for him to not get an offer again and bring him back for 1 more season on his current restricted value. If someone wants to give him a Shump type of contract they can have him. 4-5 mil for 3 years is fair. Felder will probably be in the D-League if Mo and Delly are both back.

I'm wondering what type of vet min title chasers the Cavs could be looking at. David West? Hibbert? Who else? Be nice if they could afford Biyombo with the MLE.

JR Smith isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but if he leaves Cleveland this summer he's dumber than I thought. If LBJ wants him to stay the Cavs will give him decent money with the increased cap space (and a ring) added to the equation this year.

I'd love to see Wade. It's not like he needs to make any more money. And he'd make up the difference in endorsement deals with LBJ.

I don't see Wade ever leaving Miami. Seems like the kind of guy that would take less to stay with his team if it meant they could bring in someone else. The only chance he moves would be if the Heat rebuild and lowball him.

Love to see the Sixers offer Barnes a max deal and force the Warriors to match or let him walk. I still don't get how the Warriors have a shot at KD, but I'd love to see them pay their 5th best player the most money. They are going to have a hard enough time keeping that team together without bringing in a top 5 player. At least KD would give them a real star. :p

Would give them a star, but he's so ball dominant when he has the ball in his hands, that I'm not so sure he would actually improve the Warriors. Let's be honest, they set a very high ceiling this season. There's no way they live up to last season's hype.

GS was built on depth. It seems like they would have to get rid of some key role players to bring someone like KD in. And even then, whoever signs KD is only getting him for a year. He's a one year contract away from getting max money. He's not staying anywhere long term. Hell, he should stay in OKC after they traded for Olidipo. That's going to be a solid team.

assuming durant doesn't take a massive discount, golden state would have to renounce all restricted and unrestricted free agents. after that, they still may have to trade bogut to make this happen. they would literally be 5 guys 1 draftee and 7 vet minimum players.

They should totally do that

I've also been having wet dreams about Dwyane Wade to the Cavs. The guy gets hurt every year, but if he only had to come off the bench for 20 minutes a game, I'm betting we could get the old Wade back. Why not team up with LeBron and try for more rings?
The thing Cleveland fans hated LeBron for leaving?
