Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Dan Gilbert reportedly giving Cavs championship rings to janitors, food vendors and police

You get a ring and you get a ring!

It sounds like Dan Gilbert is sparing no expense when it comes to handing out championship rings to employees of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The team's owner will present more than 1,000 rings to full- and part-time workers, cleveland.com reported Wednesday. According to the report, the additional rings will cost Gilbert more than $1 million.

But before you praised Gilbert for his generosity, there is a catch. The rings the employees will be given won't have the same level of lavishness as the ones Cavs players and coaches will receive.

Tyronn Lue extends invitation to Kevin Garnett about joining Cavs' coaching staff

"The Kid" has an open post-retirement invitation to pursue coaching in The Land.

Cleveland Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue said that Kevin Garnett, who retired from the Minnesota Timberwolves after 21 seasons last week, is welcome to join his coaching staff.

"I talked to him about it," Lue said after Cavs practice Thursday. "I know his wife is pushing for it a lot. Brandi is pushing for it, trying to get him to come and coach. He says he's not ready yet. He goes back -- 'I might do it' -- but he's back and forth. We'll see. But I'd definitely make a spot for him if he wanted to come back and coach."

Nor should they have. Still, each ring will be worth around $1,000 seeing as he's giving out a little over 1,000 rings at a total cost of over $1mil. Pretty damn cool if you ask me...
