Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Another stellar defensive second half effort.
The Cavs gave up 125 points to a really awful Pistons team that was on an 8-game losing streak and missing their best players (Avery Bradley and Tobias Harris).

Each of the Pistons' starters had 19+ points:

Stanley Johnson, 26
Reggie Bullock, 22
Andre Drummond, 21
Anthony Tolliver, 20
Ish Smith, 19

Drummond is an All Star. The other four are bums but they played like All Stars against the Cavs.

See if the Clippers will take Thomas and Crowder for Jordan.

Then go get dude from the Kings and use the next month to gel. Should be able to do all of that and not lose the Brooklyn pick for next year. Korver is going to have to play more and hopefully DWade is going to be ok. Get back to letting LBJ be LBJ and get mean and physical.

Thomas has sucked, but he's completely right when he says the defense was bad long before he got there. When you have old, slow defenders, you aren't going to be a good defensive team no matter what. The Cavs also put no effort in defensively, which only compounds the issue. Also, this:

Forget it’s the Warriors, or LBJ for that matter...if this league with a supposed cap is able to sign Durant and LBJ in 3 years while already having Curry and Green, I will never watch a second of NBA ever again.

The league fucked up by allowing the cap to go up enough in one season for them to sign KD in the first place. Lebron will never talk to them because they can't clear cap space and I doubt they are willing to trade some mix of Klay, Green, and AI for Lebron. Honestly Lebron is going to have to decide what is more important making the most money or winning championships. I'm pretty sure at this point of his career those options are mutually exclusive. If he just wants money his best bet is to commit to the Cavs so they will be willing to move the Nets pick for help now. If he wants to win he, Wade and Melo would have to go sign minimum deals with the Rockets.
