Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

They had better play some defense in the first half in the playoffs. Coming back from down 17-30 isn’t exactly a winning strategy

Lue is a steaming pile of shit. I repeat what I said before, I didnt want him to die or anything but taking the rest of the year off to heal up is the only way the Cavs could possibly win the title. No chance with him as coach.

Unfortunately for some, I have a long memory. Brooklyn finished with the 8th best lottery odds, so now it's time to serve up some crow.

The post that inspired it all:

To me, Altman will always be the guy who forced a trade of Kyrie Irving for a sad return (especially if that Brooklyn pick winds up at 8 or 9), but at least he was able to swallow his pride today by trading Isaiah. Most people would be unwilling to admit their mistake so soon.

Hmm.

2. Brooklyn is circling the drain and has a west coast swing coming. They are going to rise in lottery odds. It's pretty unavoidable.

Pretty unavoidable. Almost as unavoidable as Brooklyn winning two of their last three because they played the tanking Bulls twice.

Whether they have a vested interest or not is irrelevant. Their roster is so bad that losing a lot is unavoidable. If it weren't for Spencer fucking Dinwiddie channeling Michael Jordan in late game situations this season, the Nets would actually be multiple games ahead of the other squads at the bottom of the standings right now.

I think the fact that they didn't have a vested interest in tanking may have been relevant.

I'm here for discourse, disagreements, and spirited argument, but next time you guys want to be dicks about it, make sure you're on the right side of history.

The only one who comes out looking like a dick in this is you.

you do realize that the entire premise for this debate was you complaining about the return the cavs got for irving. i can't help but notice that you no longer discuss that after kyrie's knee exploded and the cavs turned around IT and Crowder for good fits, but only where the nets picked ended up. of course, we all realize that if the cavs didn't no show for a game against the nets in december, that pick would move up 2 spots.

Let's not turn this around. The crux of the argument was about how the Nets were destined to sink. The no-show game happened well before you and NorthCoastKid started in on the value of the pick.

And for the record, I'd still rather have Irving, who is a top 10 NBA player. It's not like Hill and Hood have been able to stay healthy.
