Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

They’ve gotten blown out a couple of times, but not once have I watched this group and thought they were going through the motions for the checks and the girls. These guys really seem to enjoy playing, and they put a lot of energy into it. It’s the kind of team I can really get behind, even if (and maybe even because) they have zero shot at a title

It's amazing what happens when you fire a michigan coach!

Disclaimer - I thought he would be at least average as a pro coach.

Shams Charania @ShamsCharania Houston has agreed to a deal to acquire talented 2019 first-round pick Kevin Porter Jr. from Cleveland, sources tell

Being that Houston got.. what.. 4 1st round picks in the trade, I assume we'll get their 1st round pick in 2036 for Porter

Protected 2nd rounder that will never happen. Just a way to dump a talented headcase without having to buy him out.

Precisely. I guess the Cavs learned from the Browns about keeping headcases around too long despite their talent, i.e. Josh Gordon and no so much so with Johnny Football. Of course the Cavs had their share as well with JR Reid, KI, and TT.

And then (as young teams do) they followed up a 5 game losing streak with perhaps the most embarrassing loss in franchise history 133-95 to a barely above .500 team in Denver. Wow. Outscored by 17 in the first quarter and then 4 in the 2nd, 13 in the third, then 4 more in the 4th.

The Cavs are not just losing, they are getting blown out on a nightly basis by every opponent. I'm not sure they could beat Gonzaga at this point. I remember some terrible Cavs teams, but this one may take the cake. A total embarrassment.

Since February 10th:

Denver 133
Cleveland 95

Portland 129
Cleveland 110

LA Clippers 128
Cleveland 111

Golden State 129
Cleveland 98

Average margin of loss: 26.25

And the most depressing thing is: only the team with a good record is LA. The rest were hovering around .500.

Cavs cruising to their 4th consecutive lottery pick. They haven't done jack fucking shit so far with them.
