The problem is not pitching. The problem is lack of hitting. Tomlin and Bauer have not given up that many runs that some good offensive production would have not turned the games around for them. Nobody is hitting like they did last year. José and Brantley are both in what I would call slumps for them and we are not getting much production from the guys in RF or CF. Long way to go but Santana and Edwin also need to step it up big time. However, it is not the pitching that is costing us games.

Eh, the starting pitching has been pretty miserable for the most part. Sure a wildly inconsistent offense is not helping, but the starters are definitely not without much fault as well.

Bauer, Tomlin and Santana's 6.30, 6.70 and 5.55 era's would disagree. But yes, the offense has been wildly inconsistent, and a .242 team BA won't get them far.
