Game 3 vs Astros in 18 - 3 errors

Game 5 vs Yankees in 17 3 Errors (They had 4 in game 4 as well)

6 errors in the last 2 elimination games. That right there is a sign of a team that can't handle pressure situations.

Defense in 6 & 7 vs the Cubs in the WS was pretty poor as well.

2019 may be the last year for the Indians with Lindor - lots of talk they'll trade him with 2 arb years remaining and get maybe the largest haul ever.

At this point, I'm 100% okay with trading Kluber and still getting a great return. You have Carrasco, Bauer, Clevinger, Bieber, and McKenzie is fully capable of handling the 5th spot (let Plutko take it until you save his service time).

There shouldn't be one player on this roster that is untouchable. Put them all out there. The window closed last year, this year was just a "meh" team with the benefit of playing in a garbage division. Probably be the same again next year.

We'll see if the FO recognizes that they aren't going anywhere significant with these hacks or if they're just happy winning a shitty division and getting bent over in the division series.

6 runs scored, 13 hits, 30 strike outs, .144 batting average....

20 runs allowed, 34 hits allowed, 7.20 ERA, .327 batting average against....

See ya next year, folks!
I'd like to know if any team has been more pathetic with their bats in the postseason in back-to-back years. They have been PUTRID. The Twins in the mid-2000's come to mind, but i don't know if they were THIS bad.

Sorry for the barrage of posts, but i have a stream of conciousness thing going...it might be time to look at Tito, too. Will always love him for giving us a mostly entertaining few years, but he's probably not the guy. I'd like to see Sandy get his chance.

Both of those things would be the most Cleveland thing ever. Trade a known commodity for a bunch of lottery tickets. Sashi Brown approves.

Trading Kluber would be wonderful except contenders wontvwant him because he sucks in October and crappy teams won’t want to pay him to pitch to a half empty park. We ain’t getting shit for him.

Trade Lindor or Ramirez, however...

We still have Edwin for $20 mil next season and I cannot imagine any team wanting to take on that salary. I will be very interested in seeing what they do with Gonzales and Popeye with Brantley being a FA. Just cannot see bringing him back. I know he hits .300 when he is healthy but I would like to see more power out of a LF.

Miller and Allen will get some nice parting gifts on their way out.

I also think a change in managerial styles would be nice. Getting tired of seeing Francona walk out to the mound every other batter and his love for certain players a.k.a. Kippy gnaws at me.

And that'll do it. Bauer obviously doesn't do well in relief. Inexcusable implosion defensively and pitching in the 7th. Not that theyd win the next game anyway, but still a joke
I think it was sort of unfair to Bauer to bring him out of the pen and think that he was going to perform like he did all season as a starter. He has a certain "ritual" that he goes through when he is going to start a game and he just is not the same coming out of the bullpen.

Didnt stop the Red Sox from giving David Price 30mil per year.

Thing is with diving into a "rebuild"...and the more i think about it, the more I think it's unlikely...the organizational leadership is concerned about one thing first and foremost, putting butts in the seats. Fan interest when they're winning is still tenuous at best. I'd be surprised if they look at the impacts yet another rebuild would have on attendance and move forward with it.

We're likely looking at a similar situation to the Sabathia, Lee, V-Mart core where they ride them for as long as possible then deal the core away in their contract years for a relative pittance. It'll probably be a slow descent into full-fledged mediocrity, then another fire sale. Huzzah.

Didn't say minor league players, did I? You can get young MLB talent for a player like Kluber. For Lindor, you can get everything you want. For a team that doesn't have a ton of minor league talent, it will be a great help. Trading Kluber when he's trending down is a smart move.
