The Central division is not a given this year by any stretch unless the Indians install cameras.

They aren't winning the division this year. In fact, everything points to this being the beginning of another drop off/rebuild. If the past 20 years have shown us anything, it's that we're probably in for about 5 (ish) years (see 2002-2007 and 2008-2013) of mediocre-to-bad teams as the farm system slowly restocks and starts producing for the next run.

Call me jaded, but if they couldn't get that ring in 2016 after going up 3-1 over the fucking Cubs, I don't see how they ever do. Such is life as a Tribe fan. The Curse of Rocky Colavito is real.

Indians signing another Santana and another outfielder… both the same person Domingo Santana
I just do not understand why Dolan does not go all in and try and win a WS and then sell the team. If they do not win a championship with this pitching he might as well forget ever winning one. Guess the same thing can be said of the past couple seasons but this season or next surely will be bringing his chances to an end. It is not like the SOB could not afford paying some really good players and then selling the team for a huge profit and still claiming that he brought the team a World championship for the first time in over 70 years.

The Santana signing makes not much sense, he has been injury plagued since his great year in 2017 and is not a good defensive OF at all.

I guess unless they got him in the cheap cheap, but with Franmil Reyes likely occupying the DH role, its not like he has much of a spot.

Supposedly for about $1million. I do not understand it either because he is a Reyes clone and they were supposedly thinking that they were going to play Reyes in RF along with DH. Just what we need another OF

I mean, if he can manage to stay healthy and regain somewhat his 2017 form. It would be good. He was doing well in Seattle last year before a injury led to him nosediving in the 2nd half of the season. The Big IF he can stay healthy. Which i'm not banking on.

Why did Getty negotiate ransom of his grandson and let him suffer? Because the money was all he really cared about. Similarly with Dolan, he will go down whatever path makes him the most money, and he couldn't care less whether or not the team wins a World Series.

Santana has to pass a physical, once he does that then the Indians will make the signing official.

I just want you all to know that last night I had a lifetime Indian fan right on the cusp of admitting that he gives a crap but then he passed out and couldn't finish his drink. Bummer. I wasted too much money trying to get him drunk.
