Such mixed feelings...
the years me and my drinking pals sat at the watering hole... what we said and what we did.. we laughed like hell...
and 3 decades ago at an executive session put on by a consultant practice.. of what was coming:
telling a subordinate how nice their hair looked, how nice their outfit was, and even telling a male how nice his new sports coat looked
could come to bite you in the ass...
then started to see the progression of it becoming reality..
especially after performance reviews... and especially after being forced to bell curve them... half avg (Bs).. 1/4 above avg (As); 1/4 below avg (Cs).. even if you felt you had a damn good staff.. mandated to grade as many poor as you graded excellent; then it really came on...
the harassment complaints... saw a number of other execs go thru it... and the company conveniently 'supported' whoever threatened.. fire the one blamed; promote the one blaming to appease them... and didn't take long for it to be known corporate-wide... if you were a bad employee or graded badly, this was your route... and covered you in teflon
a number of us went thru a much different time when testosterone choked off our brain cells and it was 'ok' behavior .. but vastly different times
BUT.. Nick Francona... you're an ass hole... there's time to STFU... and family issues don't go public... you obviously were an ass hat spoiled brat growing up who didn't get the ass kickings he shoulda

I was going to say a couple weeks ago that I would be surprised if Tito made it through this season due to all of the health problems that he had last season and now with the staph in his foot things just seem to get worse.
Now I will be really surprised if he makes it through the entire season with his son coming out with such a strong statement against the Indians organization whether it be true or not. This might not only affect Tito but it could have a major affect on the entire organization and I do not think that Dolan wants any part of what looks like is going to be a real mess. This could be the beginning of the end for Dolan and depending on how bad it gets for baseball in Cleveland.

Well, Dan Gilbert picked up about $30 billion yesterday when his stock spiked. Hopefully he sold some and can use the proceeds to buy the Indians;-)
