High School Coldwater Cavaliers

We've had I think three soph. receiving threats quit all together, but the buzz around town is all the upper classmen are working hard. Apparently no "winning fatigue." The "story" and this is just a "story" in my opinion is that there is going to be a quarterback controversy. In my opinion if a kid wins you a state title, I don't care if he desn't have the best arm on the team, and John Reed loves his seniors. They're being picked as the D IV favorites by almost everyone from what I've heard.

Side Note: Saw Ross and Adam Homan the other day. Adam might be bigger than Ross is now by the time he gets to C-Bus.

OK, Coldwater, Chillicothe and UVA fans.... how can you have a team accomplish much of anything if you spend the season trying to develope a cavalier attitude? What do they do in the off season, write ballads and poems?

Inquiring minds want to know.

PS, the only thing worse would be a Musketeer, who would do pretty much the same thing only while speaking French... but at least they wouldn't have a cavalier attitude.

Review of last scrimmage:

Van Wert Drive 1 - Coldwater Defense looks real good, hitting everything and anything coming out of the backfield. VW does not cross mid field, and it ends up being the best field position they had all game.

Coldwater Drive 1 - QB Klenke not sharp on first drive, missing some receivers. CW goes for a 45 yard FG, but it's well short.

VW Drive 2 - 3 and out.

CW Drive 2 - This drive is all on the ground. Ends in a Tony Harlamert TD run for about 20 yards.

VW Drive 3 - 3 and out.

CW Drive 3 - Quick drive. Started at CW 40. Klenke hits Wenning for a 47 yard TD reception. CW 14 - VW 0

VW Drive 4 - 3 and out.

CW Drive 4 - 6 rushes, about 50 yards total. Adam Homan had runs of 15 & 17. I believe Harlamert scored on an 8 yard run. CW 20 - VW 0

VW Drive 5 - 3 and out.

CW Drive 5 - 60 yard drive. QB Keith Wenning had some big completions, and the scoring play is a 8 yrd TD pass to Zach Seifring. CW 27 - VW 0

VW Drive 6 - VW converted a 4th and 4. On second set of down, Zach Seifring intercepts a pass and takes it to the end zone. CW 35 - VW 0

VW Drive 7 - The Half expires after 2-3 plays.

CW Drive 6 - QB Klenke drives the team via the air - huge pass to Adam Rammel. Klenke runs the ball in for a score from the 1. CW 41 - VW 0

VW Drive 8 - 3 and out.

CW Drive 7 - At this point, a lot of underclassmen begin playing. Varsity part of scrimmage is over.

Final Score after 3 Qrtrs - CW 41, VW
