College FB fantasy league is setup

Mods, I know there is a gaming forum, but I wanted to let everyone know who reads this board that I set up a college football fantasy league on the Sporting News fantasy site. Go to the gaming forum, look at the college fantasy league thread, and it will tell you how to add yourself to it. I don't know if there is a limit to custom leagues, but I know they can handle at least 20. It is also pretty low maintainance (you get a salary cap and pick 4 teams for O and 4 teams for D) so it won't be a huge time commitment (no drafts, etc.) for those who want to join.

Mods, feel free to delete this after a day or so, but if you could leave it up a day or 2 so people can join, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

Cool...we've got 8 so far...was I delusional to think that at least 20 people would want to try this? More, more, more! After all, it means more when you win when you beat more of your fellow football fanatics

I am in...

Bucklion gets tons of points for the Seven Blocks reference. I used to walk by a giant murual of them on my way into the McGinley Center everyday back at Fordham.

Nice...the Lombardi Center at Fordham was not always the nicest facility, but it was pretty cool being in a building named after such a legend.

I should also give some points to rugbybuck...I am a former rugger myself. Wing forward and fly (by necessity only) back in the day.

That's cool, wadc45. Not too many people know that Fordham boasts not 1, but 3 members of the pro football HOF as well:

Vince Lombardi, Wellington Mara, Alex Wojciechowicz

True, true, and true...

Funny enough, my sister is a senior at Lafayette College and somewhat friends with Mara's daughter. Attempts two years ago to get his daughter to tell her father to cut Jason Sehorn were futile...

For those who don't know, the Seven Blocks of Granite were Al Bart, Vince Lombardi, Alex Wojciechowicz, John Druze, Edmund Franco, Leo Paquin, and Nathaniel Pierce. They were members of one of the fiercest football teams in the mid-30s at Fordham Unviersity in the Bronx. Despite their (somewhat) return to mediocrity amonst the 1AA ranks, Fordham still has enough room in their media guide to list every player that had 200 yards passing, 100 yards receiving, or 100 yards rushing in a game. Depressing...

Fordham also boasts Denzel Washington, Alan Alda, Captain Kangaroo, Vin Scully (spoke at my commencement address), P.J. Carlesimo, and Geraldine Ferraro as alumni. Now that's impressive...

To get a bit back on topic, are 1AA teams available in this league? I may have to take the Rams purely for nostalgia.
