College Football via Internet TV

I'm on VUE right now. I also tried a week trial with HULU (which also has all the sports/cfb networks). At the time, I needed Chromecast for HULU, and Chromecast is garbage, so Roku/VUE became my fallback. I did see that Hulu has added Fire now, and Roku is "coming soon."

Two big differences. Vue has AMC, and Hulu doesn't. That being said, the Vue DVR is pretty much garbage. Anything you record is automatically wiped after 30 days. And pausing and stopping during live programming is very sketchy. The Hulu DVR is much better and works pretty much like cable. 50 hours is included, and you can pay extra to bump it up to 200 hours.

As for viewing quality and high def, both were perfect. The only problem was that Chromecast overheats and burns out.

How is Chromecast garbage for you? I cut the cord in April, and Chromecast has worked perfectly for me.

Edit: is recording the stream absolutely necessary? The games are on YouTube the next morning. Just grab the video from there.

My Roku 3 works great with SlingTV. Haven't tried Sling much on the Chromecast or Fire stick. One word of advice stay away from BP Spy except for commercials because the streams run around a minute behind live tv.

Being stationed overseas has led me to streaming my games over all kinds of illicit free sites. I won't list them here but if you need a place to catch the game direct message me and I'll hook you up.

Is FirstRow considered illicit? I've used it for incidental games for years (with Adblock on) and it works quite well for me. I'm careful about not clicking on any stray links, so far no problems.

My understanding is that if your streaming service offers ESPN (and access to login to the ESPN app) then you can see any game that would be on ABC even if you don't have access to live ABC. Can anyone confirm that?

The opposite used to be true, and there were many times where the abc game was blacked out. It's improved somewhat . I'd try to find a thread discussing watchespn and your provider.

Just took a chance and plugged the cable from my modem in the TV yesterday and it has all the basic channels in SD along with my locals in HD. Hooked up a splitter and the HDHomeRun Prime I had laying around and now I get 3 tuners on my Plex DVR without having to deal with the OTA BS. Still have SlingTV for HD non-broadcast, but getting a good signal on all the OTA channels has been a pain with the antenna. HDHomeRun Connect only has 2 tuners as well, which sometimes caused issues. Only problem now is how much of a CPU hog Plex is when I try to play DVR's videos the night of. By morning I can convert everything to a better format, but it takes time and a ton of CPU.
