Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

I was bored on a conference call and looking at hockey reference.

They are pretty awful at faceoffs, winning around 45% of them. Last year they won 48% and the year before that 50%. You're not going to dowell if you're constantly chasing the puck.

JFC this team might be the worst goaltending/defense team I’ve ever seen

What defense?

You may be right - 5 straight goals given up

6 straight

NHL Power Rankings: 1-31 poll, plus stocks to buy or sell for each team in 2021

18. Columbus Blue Jackets

Previous ranking: 14
Points percentage: .529
This week: vs. NSH (Feb. 18, 20); vs. CHI (Feb. 23)

After coming over in the Pierre-Luc Dubois-Patrik Laine trade, hometown hero Jack Roslovic is thriving in Columbus (10 points over his past eight), and that has him feeling confident. Buy, buy, buy.

Just sayin': With all the trades and free agent signings the Blue Jackets have made over the years, not too often does a good player come to the Blue Jackets (via trade or free agency) and become an even better player for the Blue Jackets than he was for his former team. I guess Sergei Bobrovsky was an example and maybe Seth Jones and Nick Foligno are a couple others; however, now (so far) Jack Roslovic is in that group too.
