Columbus Crew SC (2008, 2020, 2023 MLS Champions)

Strange question here.....daughter is moving to Columbus in April. She is/wants to attend tOSU for an MBA in sports management, specifically women's soccer. OK, long road. While looking for a job prior to admission, (August 2021), does anyone care to share a name, etc. of someone that can help her get an unpaid internship with the Crew? She's a former college swimmer, with little or no experience with soccer, except what she's taught herself.

Thanks in advance for any assistance

My son in law's office is around the corner from the new Crew Stadium site and he took this picture:

MLS is Back Tournament: Teams that have qualified to the Knockout Stage

The first three teams have qualified for the Knockout Stage presented by Audi at the MLS is Back in Tournament in Orlando, with Columbus Crew SC adding their names to the list on Thursday evening.

The first two qualifiers come from Group A, as the Philadelphia Union and Orlando City SC each registered their second consecutive win in the tournament to top Group A with six points. These two teams will meet in their closing match of the group stage to determine which goes through as A1 or A2.

Columbus Crew SC's 2-0 win over the New York Red Bulls on Thursday night ensured that they would finish in one of the top two places in Group E. They will finish out the group stage against Atlanta United on Tuesday (8 pm ET | TUDN, Twitter in US; TSN in Canada).

The top two teams from each of the six groups earn automatic berths to the Round of 16. MLS regular season tiebreaking procedures will be used, if necessary, to determine placement within each group.

Rounding out the field of 16 will be four wild cards: the next four best 3rd-place finishers based on points total. Tiebreakers for these four spots are as follows: (1) goal difference, (2) goals scored and (3) fewest disciplinary points, if necessary.

Teams qualified to Round of 16:
  • Group A: Philadelphia Union, Orlando City SC
  • Group B: --
  • Group C: --
  • Group D: --
  • Group E: Columbus Crew SC
  • Group F: --
  • Wild Cards (4): --
Round of 16 matchups
  • July 25: A1 (PHI/ORL) vs. Wild Card C/D/E
  • July 25: A2 (PHI/ORL) vs. C2
  • July 26: C1 vs. Wild Card A/B/F
  • July 26: D1 vs. Wild Card B/E/F
  • July 27: B1 vs. Wild Card A/C/D
  • July 27: B2 vs. F2
  • July 28: E1 (CLB) vs. D2
  • July 28: F1 vs. E2 (CLB)

Columbus looks like the most dominant team in MLS right now. They've been a blast to watch during this MiB tourny. Really impressed with a number of guys, but Lucas Zelarayan is a legit superstar. We got a lot of flack for "overpaying" for him, but he looks like its worth every penny

Columbus in 1st place in the Eastern Conference

Columbus has legitimately looked like the most complete team in the tournament so far. Lost Vito Wormgoor (CB) to an ankle injury against Cincy, but they still looked really strong at the back. Had a couple of knocks last night with Mensah and Room going down, but they both finished the game and look to be ok. They can rest most of the key players for Game 3 of the Group Stage, and get ready for the Knockout Round. Cautiously optimistic, so long as they can stay healthy.
