as much as i want to be excited about the justice league the letters "D" and "C" are almost certainly involved. as such the rule of thumb is it will be as good as an x-men movie until proven otherwise.

ive never understood how movies based on comics and video games fail. you already have a built in audience who will see the movie period. second, the story literally already exists. the original fans prove the story works as is. all you have to do is cast correctly and don't f up the story. i would go so far as to say the average movie based on a video game would actually be significantly better if you just video taped someone playing the actual game for 2 hours.

I give DC credit for making trailers that make me want to see their movies. Unfortunately they get enough bad press before the movies come out that I have no desire to pay money to see them in the theater. By the time I get around to watching it at home I realize I was smart for not paying to see the steaming pile of dog shit they call movies. All of the DC characters seem to be better than what Marvel had to work with, but somehow other than a couple good Nolan movies they haven't been able to figure out how to put them on film. Marvel took their B level characters and turned them into an amazing cinematic universe by making quality movies.

exhawg, if you don't already i strongly recommend looking up honest trailers on the various super hero movies. from the sounds of your post, i suspect you will greatly enjoy them.





if anything has ever been put together that more clearly shows the difference between a marvel and dc movie today, i don't know what it is :p.

wife loves her some Charlie Hunnam so I'll get a free pass to see this one :)


Edit 1: personally the best one I've seen in a while was King Aurther by Fuqua... enjoyed the possibly more accurate history that he was a Roman general/leader.. Always enjoy Clive Owen (ever since he did the Privateer game ages ago)

Edit 2: Game of Arthur - lol soo many GoT guys in there.

Excalibur from 1981 is one of my all time favorites. It is hokey by today's standard, but still a good watch.
