Two Stark County natives who battled on opposite sides of high school and college football fields could be sharing a dinner table at the Waldorf Astoria. Linebackers Chris Spielman and Percy Snow are among 83 finalists for the College Football Hall of Fame, the National Football Foundation announced.

Spielman is joined by fellow Ohio State Buckeyes Jim Otis and former Head Coach John Cooper.

Ballots were mailed this week to more than 12,000 NFF members and current Hall of Famers.

Those votes will be submitted to the NFF's Honor Court, which eventually selects the class. The Honors Court is chaired by Gene Corrigan, a former ACC commissioner and NCAA president.
