ugh

sorry to hear it man
Thanks. My "hope" is that the time frame is set and not fluid for something that continues on.

Edit: I should have added that while this is an "out there" response by my organization. The people I really feel for are the hourly staff. They've been furloughed for 4 weeks. Have to take it before June 19 (can't help but believe that this is so that this quarters numbers reflect the "benefits" of the actions taken by my employer). Additionally, the employee's portion of the health care costs will not be paid during that four weeks, therefore, upon return, they'll have a 3x health care payment deducted from their checks. Depending upon the plan, that'll be a huge chunk gone.

Funny part in all this, my division is at or exceeding last year's numbers (maybe we're lagging behind), but my slash is for ALL salaried employees and the furlough is for ALL hourly employees in NA.

5 hospital NFP laying off people who don’t have face to face contact because of not doing any elective surgeries and suspension of other procedures. Keeping them on insurance and looking for the Bridge loans for payroll. In Illinois Peoria Rockford Bloomington Champaign and Galesburg.

Brit Hume @brithume

Well, Dr. Birx just said it. Anyone in U.S. who dies with Covid 19, regardless of what else may be wrong, is now being recorded as a Covid 19 death.
So people with the virus, who did not die before getting the virus, are being recorded as having died from the virus.

You get diagnosed and then die in a car accident you’re counted as having died of COVID-19.

You get diagnosed and then die tripping down the stairs in the hospital you’re counted as having died of COVID-19.

You get diagnosed and then your wife has enough of you and puts a cap in your sorry ass... you got it... she is free and clear cuz you’re counted as having died of COVID-19.

What’s so difficult to understand here?

The other side is that those who "died from the virus" while simultaneously having other serious health issues most likely would not have died had it not been for those other issues.
