Over 6,000 yards of offense and only 3 draft choices ...hmm
sounds like CW did a darn good job with the offense.
Sounds like it went over big time with the NFL teams, no?

OOOPPS! 5,000 Yards last year
Correction noted, but that output surely should have put those seen every Saturday skill players on somebody's draft board - yet only one of the skill O players made it. Why?

I guess the question many pro scouts must have asked concerned whether the offense showed up in their big games.

How much of that NA offense came in the games against the four military schools and North Carolina?

Tibor- What does the top 3 have to do with this ??

Nothing. But that was dumbass Daddy Walker's reason his son should have gotten drafted - that he was #4 all time in ND's exalted history. Given that 3 chumps were ahead of him and Bettis is nowhere to be found, that ranking means absolutely nothing.

Man oh man, did Draft day put a dent in Charlie's NFL factory sales pitch.

I stopped by the ND board after the draft. Their spin was that the lower than expected draft positions of ND players just showed how good CW really was since his players weren't as talented as everyone thought and he was still doing such a masterful coaching job.

Who knows, with his own players he just might beat a decent team or stay within two TDs in a bowl game.

Don't try to reason with these people.

Tibor- What does the top 3 have to do with this ??

I think he was just trying to point out the facade that is ND football.

As for Darius, his Dad's comments can do ND nothing but harm.

Keep talkin'.

When did we get a fourth military academy?

ND total yards against the above-mentioned teams in 2006:

Navy: 471
UNC: 452
AFA: 383
Army: 443

What about Kings Point?

Useless trivia note: There are actually five service academies.

There are three military academies: The United States Military Academy (West Point); The United States Naval Academy (Annapolis); and The United States Air Force Academy (Colorado Springs). The two other service academies (the The United States Coast Guard Academy and the The United States Merchant Marine Academy) are not military academies. The USMA, USNA, and USAFA fall under the Department of Defense and are run directly by the their respective departments. The USCGA used to fall under the Department of Transportation but now falls under the Department of Homeland Security, and the USMMA falls under the Department of Transportation.

1. CW did not recruit any of the players that could be drafted. 2. ND had 7 players drafted and 3 others have signed as free agents. 3. Nice try

CW and the ND spin machine have been selling his ability to develop players for the NFL from day one. I haven't ever seen the disclaimer that says this ability only applies to kids he recruits.

One side of the ND fans mouth BQ is the second coming, now after his draft stock goes down quicker than Claussen at a truck stop, he wasn't that talented.

Very, very weak even by your standards.
