Buckeyes offer big-time Michigan commit

The Ohio State/Michigan rivalry never rests, especially when it comes to recruiting.

ESPN 150 David Dawson (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech) – the No. 1 ranked guard in the country from the 2013 class – picked up an offer from Ohio State on Friday.

“It feels great to know that [Ohio State coach Urban Meyer] offered me,” Dawson said. “Down in Florida, he won a couple of national championships. He’s a great coach.”

Presumably Urban Meyer did this for more reasons than just wanting to be called a criminal of upsetting his rival?

Meanwhile, according to @ESPNRecruiting on Twitter, fellow Michigan commit Kyle Bosch said of Dawson: "He's been talking about decommitting. If he does, we'll move on. One guy doesn't make a class."
But heading into this weekend's The Opening football camp in Portland, Ore., Dawson said he is still hearing from Florida, Alabama and USC.
My personal take is that hey, if a commit is in play, any hardworking recruiter would do due diligence.

Although it seems unlikely that Urban could flip him, if Urban did flip him it would cause fireworks befitting the greatest rivalry on earth. Kind of like adding an accoustical blast to the triple Boren maneuver.

Let's not forget about Kalis.
