DB Brendon White (transfer to Rutgers)

The only issue I have with the practice player vs gamer is none of the DBs were on fire. The coaching staff should have been trying anyone , including walkons. I have lost a lot of faith in our coaches.
I'm with you... why continuously smash your head into things?

Exactly why I hate hearing Urban ask out loud "what's the definition of insanity" before promotly telling everyone.

Because they practice insanity every year in some shape or form before it costs us.

If we are 7 games in going into Purdue and we are that bad every game then try your other options.

Reason why Nick wins every year is he doesnt wait around to see if we magically get better. Heck no, if something isn't right he gets on the coaches to make the fix. If need be he will put someone else in to do the job if its personnel.

There is no "we are close" with Saban. There's only "we are good to go" and " fix it now!".

Anyways I really hope White starts. He's earned it.

BRENDON WHITE WARMS UP WITH FIRST-TEAM DEFENSE ALONGSIDE JORDAN FULLER

It looks like Brendon White will get the first start of his Buckeye career.

A week after a breakout performance against Nebraska, White earned a starting safety spot opposite of Jordan Fuller for Saturday's contest with Michigan State.

Shaun Wade, who started at safety last week and played alongside White once he entered the game last week, warmed up with the cornerbacks despite Urban Meyer saying either he or White would start at safety.

Meanwhile, Isaiah Pryor, who has started at safety much of the year, did not make the trip to East Lansing after he was scratched from the lineup last week due to injury.

White was credited with 5 tackles today. Only Werner (with 7) and Borland (with 6) had more. Another stat: Ohio State only had 45 tackles compared to Sparty's 104. Sparty had more "gang tackles" racking up their assist totals.

Really stabilized the defense. His tackling is superb.
It's like magically we went from shit to competent in 2 weeks.

Hilarious that in 2 weeks Pryor/Wint BOTH went from starter to 3rd string more or less.

This probably cost us the playoffs. Reason being is that we probably don't get embarressed 3 weeks ago at the bare minimum. Sure we probably still lose but it's probably like 28-20

That’s fine by me if we miss out, Bama is cleaning house this year in the CFP. Maybe I’m wrong but I’ve seen no signs that say other wise.

Another excellent game from Mr. White. Equally effective against the run and in coverage. Move should have happened earlier but I'm done bitching about it. He's the guy back there now and I'll enjoy it.

I hear you on being done bitching about it but it's intellectually dishonest to ignore it.

This is a massive smoke signal from the fire of poor defensive coaching everyone is trying to pinpoint.

I feel so much better about the defense now that we know we have good safety play.

I just can't explain how impressed I am... he absolutely blew up that reverse attempt. Just watch that play he sees it and literally takes off downfield immidiately.
