DB Cameron Burrows (Official Thread)

Very pleased by the play of Cameron!

Was Armani injured or has Cameron surpassed him on the depth chart?

Armani could've been injured(not saying MD's wrong), but I was under the impression that cam was the backup to doran and Armani was the backup to Bradley roby. So even if healthy, cam would've replaced doran.
Even still, cam stepped up and can't wait to see him throughout this year and next year. I hope he stays at CB as I prefer the bigger more physical CBs, but have no reservations at him joining bell at S, but would much rather see an early projection at the starters for DB for 2014 being:
CB: doran grant
CB: cam burrows or Eli apple or Gareon Conley
S: tyvis Powell
S: vonn bell

The depth off of the bench would be insane! With the man who doesn't start at the opposite CB from grant being a nickel, that's some talent to choose from, without including the incoming frosh.

I think we've got a bright future at CB with Doran and Burrows.
I don't know what I think about the Safeties listed there... they have the talent, but I think whoever fills those shoes will have to put in a lot of work starting in the Spring. I see those spots as being very much up for grabs in the future. I was about to start a long rant comparing it to 2007 safety situation... but... not worth it; and the wrong thread in any case. In every other position, we seem to have a clear progression.

I was really impressed by CAM'S performance against a pretty good passing team. IMHO he could excel at CB or Safety. One person not mentioned on your list is Ron Tanner. Keep Powell at Star and put Tanner in opposite of Bell at the other Safety spot.

Knew I forgot someone. I personally like powell's length at S, I'd rather have a hitter like Worley at star.

We can also throw in another person we both forgot, Devan Bogard, into the mix at Safety. He and Bell would also make a great combo. Here's hoping that he fully recovers from his injury.

Safeties:
Bell
Burrows (Possible if one of Apple, Conley, Reeves steps up at Corner)
Bogard
Powell
Tanner
Worley

I thought Bogard was now a LB
But Jayme Thompson was someone forgotten as well
