Not to nitpick, but he is a Junior. I was really impressed with him when I first saw him play 2 years ago.

I just don't agree on the development.

He's a feast or famine style player.

He may make the highlight reel here and there or he may cost you a 1st down, touchdown or worse.

I want my safety to be an enforcer, however considering they are often the last line of defense, I would prefer reliability and consistency if I had to choose.

He doesn't wrap, he runs his mouth and makes stupid mistakes.

He's personally missed 2 tackles which resulted in touchdowns.

He's had numerous penalties which are inexcusable.

For me player development is both on the coaching staff and the player themselves.

If he just decided to start tackling and stop the penalties the sky is the limit. He has the potential, talent and instincts, but the decision is his.

This is exactly how I feel.

I was really, really excited for his Sophmore/Junior years...but he just hasn't really improved his technique.

However, no one really improved last year, so I'll give him a bit of a pass. He really needs to be better in big moments though, emphasis on making good decisions.

I mean, the guy still thinks he was wrongly penalized for that bonehead move a couple weeks ago. Sure, it may have been a bad call, but what are you doing even risking that? Your teammate made a good play, go help him up and get the fuck off the field.

I really want him to show some maturity and accept that he made a poor decision there. Be a man, admit your mistake, move on and grow.

Yeah he played well today.

The D played extremely well. 7 points through 59:52 of the game is pretty damn good for how much they were on the field.

Awesome play to end the game...read that route perfectly. I know folks are often critical of his play, but this is twice now in OT where he's made the game winning pass break up. Way to go Christian!

Fumble recovery for the first stop. Pass break-up for the final play. He also took a good angle and forced Ball out of bounds on his long run that would've been a TD if Bryant doesn't play it correctly.

First, and most importantly, I don't think that I swore at Bryant the entire game, and that hasn't happened all year. Not only did he have big plays, which he's prone to do, but, as far as I could tell, he did his job on the plays that weren't big. All around solid performance today.

I really love watching Christian play, because he plays with so much emotion, that it's a gift and a curse. This game was almost a microcosm of his career so far. Going for a big highlight hit on denard, only failing to make a proper tackle, he bounces off and goes 67yds. Fast forward to the second half and not only does he seal the game with that sweet interception but he also made a number of great plays in coverage. I'm sure I'm not the only one who bangs their head on the wall wondering why he cant be more consistent. But that's also why it's so great to watch him play because he'll make something happen, especially in big games. Hopefully Christian can put it all together for his last year, it'll be a joy watching him play next year and seeing where he could line up, because not only can he slide up to the star and stop the run, but he can cover tes and rbs in space and then put him back in S and let him cover slot wrs and cover the zone

His improvement from the 1st half of the season was pretty obvious, IMO. He's taken a lot of heat, but now I think he deserves a lot of credit. He was part of that lucky play where both he and Howard went to tackle Detard and pretty much kept him on his feet because of it. He comes back with a form tackle on Detard and forces a fumble. Made some big plays out there for us this year and I think he'll be one of our better players on next years defense.

I meant the fumble was the play that made up for the failed tackle not barnetts int. But he should have a great season. Hoping he puts in extra work this off-season, which unfortunately has already begun
