I expect this one to maybe end quick...The staff has me really confused tho...but they are the ones that make the money doing this...

I am beginning to think they don't have high hopes for Hunter and banks...

My thoughts exactly.. I wouldnt bet on Hunter being in this class.. and although Banks would probably be a Buckeye if we went hard at him.. for some reason i get the feeling we're not pursuing him all that aggressively

I kinda agree...but from the film of Hunter I just find it hard to believe after an offer that we wouldn't go hard after him...That wouldn't make sense to me...

Being that Hunter plays in Ohio, in a conference that the staff would see a lot of (Greater Catholic League with Elder, LaSalle, Moeller, St. Xavier among others), how much would the staff really rely on the film in the evaluation of a prospect like this? Not a knock, more a question out of curiousity.

Actually, Hunter and Middletown play in the GMC along with the likes of the Lakotas, Hamilton, etc. Still, your point remains in that the staff sees a lot of games and tape from teams in that conference.

I'm actually VERY excited about this offer. Don't get me wrong I like Banks and Hunter, but I see Corey as potentially Gamble-esque. After watching the Rivals film he looked equally impressive as WR and CB... Hopefully we get that package deal from Gateway after all...albeit one year later...and with much better upside!

By BK...Fickell was at Gateway this week and that was followed by an offer from JT. No leader and says Dorian's decision won't factor into his.

Not to get too far off topic, but I was talking in terms of me seeing the film, as I have not seen Hunter live...The staff obviously knows quite a bit about Hunter, and they offered him, which means that with all the knowledge they know about him, and my amateur evaluation of his film, in which I really like that I find it hard to believe that they would slow play...They obviously liked him from what they saw and deemed him worthy of an offer...Usually they can wait a little while on Ohio kids if they feel the need to evaluate OOS kids...

petterson is from middletown as well so I find it hard to believe that they would slow play a kid from there if they offered...

JMHO on things...Now back to Brown...

Here's question you couldn't copy and paste:

10. What is Corey Brown's current recruitment status with Ohio State or other colleges in general?
"Corey Brown just received his Ohio State offer Monday May 12[sup]th[/sup]. He is considering the Buckeyes, Notre Dame, Alabama, UNC, Tennessee, Michigan among others".

yeah, that's it. For some reason it would only transfer half the question over here and say [STRONG] before it in brackets like that. Anybody know what that means or what was going on?

I think right now there's a bunch of players that are good enough to play for Ohio State, and the staff just wants to see which ones are not afraid to come in and compete. If Brown jumps on board, great. If hunter jumps on board, great. If Clarke jumps on board, I would be happy. Like what osugrad alluded to on another thread, coaches use pt to seek some qualities out...

By The Bank...says he was hoping for an OSU offer and they have moved to the top of his list. Visiting UM this weekend and also considering Tennessee, WVU and Pitt.

Confirmed...DB all the way...

Nice....I was wondering when this offer was gonna go out! Even Dorian Bell was asking for it during the Spring game according to Bill Kurelic. I would like to think that he's gonna grab this opportunity and wanna play alongside his buddy Dorian.....hell, we want this kid here!
