DB Jamario O'Neal (official thread)

Well i guess I got my answer yet another reason to hate Lemonhead. O'neal was a top preformer as a junior at the combine but lenix was the man this is rediculous.

Jamario's #'s at the combine
pretty good- only Garvin seems to have better, but he's only 5'7"

Freddie lenix #'s at combine
I know he's not coming out of HS as a RB as listed here, but still he has some damn good #'s and look back at the 2003 combine when he was a junior he was doing better than the seniors.

New Post Jamario O'Neal Army All American? JoNasty
Just wondering if he was invited? If not why?

We got into the process late this year and the team was pretty much already selected... that said, I don't know anything about O'Neal..

O'neal was nominated but not selected... like Scott said, we got in late and everyone had been selected already.

Scout is looking not so good in this one, guys.

Jamario O'neal and Mario Manningham are, from almost all accounts, the two best skill position players in Ohio. But Trey Stross and Adam Myers-White were selected ahead of them?

Jamrio was one of the top 2 or 3 juniors at the AA Combine last year. Very strange selection process IMO.

Who selected the team before you guys joined on?

I don't know how else to say this other than we came in too late and the selections were already made.

If you're reading this Jamario, you must know how excited and proud we all are that you decided to become a Buckeye. You'll be a big help to the team and your time at tOSU will benefit you for the rest of your life.

Can't wait to see your first big play in the 'Shoe. That roar you'll hear will be 106,000 of us going berserk. There will be shout-outs in living rooms all over the country too.

“That first year at Ohio State is real important because your first year is what puts you out there and gets your name circulating out there,” O’Neal said. “Little Ted had a good year in his first year and I plan on doing the same.” Inevitably, O’Neal will be compared to Ginn whether he wants to be or not.

“I think I could play offense just as well as he can,” O’Neal said. “And defensively, he can do some things that I can’t do and I can do some things that he can’t do. But you really can’t compare us. We play two different styles of football.”
The more I hear from this guy the more I can't wait to see him in uniform.

I loved the part where he called Ginn "little ted" :)

I also enjoy knowing that Holmes is not as crucial on special teams. I'm sure they'll stick with him, but if he ever starts to hobble a little bit with any sort of injury, we are still set with a player that might be able to run circles around Holmes speedwise (but its the experience and growing pains that will keep Holmes and the rest of the current players in the lineup).

First, get out some sort of bib. Then stop and think about our nickel coverage options in the future. I mean, once Salley & Everett (two incredible buckeyes) graduate we might actually get better! I can't imagine being blitzed by Lenix, Ginn, or O'Neal. I'd just take a knee on any obvious passing down and endure the screaming from my coaches rather than take a lick from any of those three.

Gosh Tressel is amazing. Cooper's main redeeming value was his recruiting. Tressel's giving him quite a good run for his money in that dept. If Clarett wasn't as dirty and foul of a person as he is, and could have just played rb and skipped the rest, it would be Tressel's face on the cover of every magazine after we fell just short of our third national title appearance in three years.

I can't wait until Jamario becomes the latest example of why JT is unbelievable.

Also, what is this uniform? is this an alternate one? or just some fun jersey? or next year's colors?
