This guy has a weighted 3.8 GPA.....and.....Dean won't be studying underwater basket weaving or something created for football stars; he's going to major in mechanical engineering.

Another article with a great write-up: http://www.floridatoday.com/story/s...4/12/19/dean-heads-ohio-state-needs/20645865/

I'm pumped to have Dean on board... I love seeing all of these 6'1 or 6'2" cover corners. If we can have another DB like Eli then I'm all for that

It's also awesome that he's so versatile and can also possibly play Safety. Just like Burrows, and the guys were bringing in, in Davis, Norwood and Ward.

Wow. Really unfortunate situation. Really liked Jamel because he seems like such a bright kid and he was like the ONLY sure recruit we had there for a long time. They must have found something really bad (knee related?) and they didn't want to jeopardize Jamel's future. That was great that Ohio State offered to give him a medical hardship scholarship to continue his academics, but can't blame him for wanting to play.

Good luck to Jamel! You've got a lot of friends clad in S&G that will be following your career, wherever you choose to go.
