CB Jeff Okudah (1st Team Unanimous All-American, Houston Texans)

I think he and Sheffield will be lock down corners next year.

I almost feel bad for Damon Arnette. But with the talent that’s already rolled through Ohio State, and the competition waiting for their opportunity behind him, you can’t only get by on raw talent out of HS. He’s made some slight improvements, but not enough to lock in any of the top three corner spots, IMO. I fully expect someone like Amir Riep or Shaun Wade to compete for the third corner spot.

See I thought Damon played well this year outside of the first two games. Everyone will give up some passing yards but I thought he played physical, was right with his man every time, and really wasn't nearly as poor as most think.

I don't think he's a first rounder but I think he could be a 3rd-5th round type of guy... Like Grant was.

He’s not a bad run support guy, but he was pretty average-poor in pass coverage. Nothing against the guy, just hasn’t seemed to improve much in that department.

I didn't think he was poor at all so we'll disagree there... He was always right there with his guy and this pass defense eventually became top 30 unit which is amazing considering where we were after two weeks.

Always with his guy? I guess we will have to disagree on the subject. Sheffield had his struggles this season, but seemed to improve quite considerably as the season went on. Don’t really feel the same about DA. Again, nothing against the guy. Just haven’t been overly impressed by the opportunities he’s been given.

I think people need to discover some adjectives in-between poor and first round pick. From 2013-2016, the only thing osu had at corner was a first round pick, with doran grant being the lone exception. Oh and two stud NFL safeties.

Sheffield and Arnette both improved considerably, Sheffield was pretty solid down the stretch. If Okudah or Wade step up as a third corner, they're in good shape.

Oh, hellz no you didn’t. It’s black _or_ white buddy.

Agreed. These guys are very capable and have some room to go before they hit a ceiling. Looking forward to them each reaching their potential.
