View attachment 23895 For those saying it was targeting. From the angle, it did seem like he lead by his helmet. Yet, this pic is a bit blurry but you only see Coans helmet and it didn’t go backwards till the body did. So looks like clean hit.
there’s one of a better angle here

its close but it would likely have been targeting... he ducks his head but so does Coen... he ducks his head to take a shot with his shoulder at a standing coen ... coen moved differently causing the helmet to chin contact

Thanks for video ... I tried to post two pics from it but can’t due to file size. Long story short .. at moment of impact, Coans head was still going forward as his body stopped (you see the gap between helmet and name plate increase as his chin goes forward/down as his body is suddenly stopped). This wouldn’t happen if helmet to helmet (would have head bend back into nameplate). Luckily, refs didn’t get involved in replay as they would just see head wipe back like a car accident with seat belt (called wipe lash ... head goes forward but is pulled back faster than body even though nothing hit it).

Semi on topic, but there was a catch over the middle late in the game that the OSU safety easily could have broken up with even the smallest amount of contact, but they chose to not put a hit on at all because of these new rules.

Hopefully it was Proctor for the sake of being appropriate topic for this thread.

I’m not complaining one way or the other, just stating it as a fact.

In terms of trying to prevent injuries, I think it makes sense. But when I saw that my thought was “this is the football we have now.”

love Proctors hit as a parting gift for a Wisky douchebag QB but it wasn't in the same league as Big Kat snatching a teams soul out through their QB's chest.

imo

Gonna have to disagree on this one. Big Kat's form was picture perfect, buuuut Jones popped back up and it was at a fairly meaningless point in the game. Proctor's hit knocked Coan's yappy ass out on the final play of a B1G championship game to prevent them from scoring a cheap garbage time TD. I prefer Proctor's hit because of those reasons

Mizzou had the momentum in the early part of that game and after that hit it was all OSU.

Many players openly talked about it and said Mizzou and Jones quit after that
