DB Wayne Davis (transfer to James Madison Dukes)

Sure wish the young man a successful career.

It’s the best of the best at tOSU and competition is at the highest level. And so is the coaching. Hopefully each of those factors has helped Mr Davis take his game to another level and it will pay off for him at his next stop. I believe these players know what they are getting into. And props to him for accepting the challenge. I respect that. Just because a player transfers doesn’t mean they, or the staff made a mistake. It’s a grown ass man’s world.

And I will never, ever worry about numbers anymore.

WAYNE DAVIS, DEFENSIVE BACK, JAMES MADISON
Davis was another Buckeye who simply didn't crack the rotation. After leaving Ohio State, Davis returned to his home state of Virginia to play for James Madison. After redshirting his first year in Columbus, Davis played just 10 snaps in his freshman season, leading him to head elsewhere.

So far this season, Davis has recorded three tackles and an interception.
