Oh please, please voodoo gods and witch doctors, have Tennessee hire Bert Bilema. Even a better fit than Arkansas.

Played 3 of the 5 most efficient offenses on a per-drive basis this year (and scrimmaged daily against another). Pay the man.

So he’s likely not on staff in the near future it sounds like. I guess I naively thought he was here another year after the UT fiasco. I figured that showed he wanted to stay in college and would let things settle down for a year and enter the carousel of college HC rounds next year. In retrospect though, a guy with his pedigree was already taking a big reset for 2 years under Urban. It’s surprising he came back for year 2.

I've heard on multiple occasions that Meyer's expectations are that assistants commit for at least 2 years. It's getting harder and harder to keep good coordinators around.

I guess we will see, but I am dubious that Schiano wants to be an NFL DC. I think he's got his sights set on a college head coaching gig. No inside info, of course... just my IMO.

I think Schiano will get good offers for college HC jobs next year.

One thing is for sure ... no recruit can (legit) claim to be "shocked" or "surprised" after he was nearly the HC at Tennessee. I'd like to think outside of Drayton and a lifetime offer these guys are upfront with recruits

Wouldn't be surprised if he went to the Giants should they offer him. Otherwise I think he stays and gets a college HC gig next winter.

Would love to see coach leave CBus with another skunk bear pelt and Natty then land a good HC gig. All would be in balance in the universe.
