Greg Schiano (HC Rutgers Scarlet Knights)

I think that Schiano might not want the job right now. Rather, do well this year and put the PSU/Tennessee thing behind you. It's really a tough environment in the coaching world these days. Actually, in any position of leadership. You have to be very careful to manage reptuational risks and potential reputational risks from third-parties. I hope he gets the job he wants next year...

If you are aware of the Wilson rumors, are you not aware of the Schiano rumors?

Mike McQuerey claimed via 2nd hand information that Schiano was aware of Sandusky’s abuse. The person who allegedly told McQuerey that (Tom Bradley) strongly denies he ever said that.

Nonetheless, I don’t believe an interim head coach for tOSU should have any rumored history with any type of abuse. Ryan Day was the obvious choice and I don’t think Schiano or Wilson have any hard feelings. They get it.....

I don't think you can call the Wilson situation rumors. He was flat out shitcanned for abusing players. With Schiano and Johnson, it's a lot more vague regarding what knowledge they might have had. There's no firm evidence that they knew, and both have strenuously denied it. If they're telling the truth, it's a very sad and unfortunate situation because anyone who was on that staff, particularly defensive coaches, will have to live with the speculation. Agree fully with your overall take though!

That’s not funny, man. Just today, somebody spiked my baby. Wait. Was that you?

Well, I just punched a co-worker and spiked a baby. Thanks Coach Schiano.

I mean, I definitely liked it. But then there was Kerry Combs, who made me run through a series of 5 brick walls before I punched a co-worker and spike the baby.

But so damn glad to still have Schiano on our staff right now, I see him as crucial to this fall camp with everything that has happened. One of the best coaches in college football in my mind. Guys like GS are why I trust this team to do its work with UFM absent. Truly fortunate to have him running the defense.
