I like the hire. I say that as someone who couldn't have picked him out of a police lineup a week ago in fairness but he seems to be very respected. Seems like a good combo in the hire of scheme expertise and a guy who won't be interviewing for a head coaching job in 18 months.

Decided to look up the numbers. Oklahoma State had a great defense this year, and they've improved in nearly every category each of the four years he was at Oklahoma State (according to the video above).

For reference - Oklahoma State was tied for 7th in points/game allowed (16.8). Third in yards/game (273.6). First in sacks (54).

They were fucking good. In the Big 12, nonetheless.
