Ffs. Complete nonsense and needs to be brought back asap. Hope to see him practice next week and play a quarter or two to knock the rust off against Rutgers.

what's funny to me is that the standard outside belief is that osu players have always gotten paid. if so, then why did chase need a loan in the first place? you'd think a player of his caliber would be swimming in cash.

I've always thought that if the NCAA wanted to enforce their rules and not have star players get in trouble (which isn't good for their game), they should have been the ones loaning money to players who are near-certain 1st or 2nd round draft choices. That way somebody like Chase Young would have been able to borrow a few grand to live more comfortably without being in danger from the NCAA.

It won't ever happen now, with the money-for-image/likeness thing coming, but it would have been a way for guys from Reggie Bush to Terrelle Pryor to AJ Green to Chase Young to possibly have avoided trouble with the NCAA.

Underestimate the cost of a vast Hummel collection at your own risk.

Word has it that Chase was trying to get into the Precious Moments scene and the cash flow from the Buckeyeplanet slush fund wasn't cutting it. :roll1:

wouldn't be surprised if the timing here was selectively chosen by osu. compliance found out sometime before the wisconsin game and slow-played their due diligence so that the suspension -- which was expected to be no more than two games since chase's infraction wasn't egregious and since precedence for a similar infraction has already been set -- would be meted out in time for a return for penn state.

as of a couple days ago, we considered the timing of the penn state game right before the ttun game to be a major disadvantage. now we wouldn't have it any other way.

I think if that were the case, he would've been suspended for bye.
I mean, most schools wouldnt even report this.

This is just typical over-compensating by incompetent suits in Ohio State's PR office.
