webster gives unanimity as a synonym for consensus. It seems to me, that’s how the word is usually used in this context

In coach/media voting, consensus means same team from both awarding bodies. Unanimous means every voter in that body voted for him.

He got every media vote for 1st team = unanimous.
He did not get every coaches votes, but enough to still be 1st team.

Hence, consensus, but not unanimous. The unanimous honor is a very special and rare distinction.

A B1G coach deliberately left him off a ballot to deny him that honor.
