I'd put this kid up there with the three DEs from Georgia OSU is recruiting (Lorenzo Carter, Dante Sawyer, Andrew Williams)...in fact I'd have him neck and neck with Carter as 1A and 1B on my board with Williams right there as well. I'd have Sawyer, Kentavious Street and Denzel Ware in that next grouop, partly because I like the other guys better and partly because OSU already has a weakside guy in Lawrence Marshall.

I like Malik McDowell but he could project anywhere along the offensive or defensive lines. And I'm not going to start following D'Shawn Hand's recruitment for at least another 9 months.

    24/7 $ - Holmes opens things up

    2/12

Florida likes him at TE, OSU said he could play TE or DE, most other schools are saying DE...has been to the in-state school several times plans to see UNC and OSU in the spring and the Florida schools this summer.

Scout $ - Washington, D.C., NFTC: DE Jalyn Holmes

    4/22

Video by Clark.....Named DL MVP at the NFTC this past weekend. Likes the family vibe at Ohio State. Plans on cutting his list to five after Spring & then to two before his season. Will then take officials to those two schools.

    Want.

Yep...I had him as 1b with Lorenzo Carter but honestly I think I like Holmes better...that first step is just explosive, plus he is strong against the run. Mark him down as my top choice for our rush end in this class.

I have the NFL draft on my mind and he looks a little bit like Dion Jordan who I believe started his career at Oregon as a TE and then switched over to become a DE/LB hybrid. Looks like a great candidate for Leo on the Buckeye defense after Noah Spence leaves early for the NFL.

No UNC or VT is kind of surprising, but good news for us not having to battle a home state school or even a bordering state school.

If you like Holmes better, shouldn't he be 1a?
