So...since:
1. Described in the above post as a "former" recruit
2. Apparently did not graduate high school
3. Did NOT die as the rumor at the time of his shooting went...

When do we go ahead and move this back to the "2010 Football Recruiting" category...where this belongs IMHO, he will almost certainly never see the inside of a college football uniform.

The Cactoman

Where's that darn crow when you need him?

Lets hope there are no more epic fails by bucknuts in terms of this kids life.

Not clear on that situation and trying not to rehash it, but did they go off of someone else's information on "the report" or did they just do it themselves?

I didn't see what they reported.

I'm actually glad Turner is in a different region (somewhat) to get his life back in order.

I agree with what a lot of people have already said; Could be the early makings of one of the best stories ever. Whether he ends up here or some other BCS program, the kid has seen the lowest of lows. We all know he has the potential to see the highest of highs and I'm rooting for him to do what it takes to get there. That's not just in the classroom or on the field, in his general demeanor as well. He's got to clean up his act. Getting back into school is one way to do this but that's just the beginning. Definitely a kid I'll be rooting for.

Sweet! I will have to follow him out here in Wichita. Last couple of years Bulter has played a couple of games up at Cessna stadium which is about 5 mins from me I will have to catch some games and give some updates.

Hmm, I've been here 8 years and have never seen that stadium used for football. That would be great to see though. I will now be keeping a close eye on Butler football.
