Joey Bosa Seen in Walking Boot Days Before Week 1 vs. Chiefs After Foot Injury
Bosa is dealing with a foot injury, and according to The Athletic's Lindsay Jones, Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said Thursday that Bosa may not play in the team's Week 1 game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday: "He'll be ready when he's ready. There's a possibility he won't be with us [vs. the Chiefs]."

An Update on Joey Bosa
Head Coach Anthony Lynn announced earlier this week that Joey Bosa was heading for a second opinion for a foot injury he suffered last week in practice.
The Chargers provided an update on the defensive end on Thursday, and the diagnosis remains the same – Bosa has a bone bruise in his foot.
The recommended course of action going forward is rest and rehab. Bosa remains week to week, but has already been ruled out for Week 2’s clash with the Buffalo Bills.
During his daily press briefing, Head Coach Anthony Lynn answered several questions about the star defensive end, shedding additional insight into his injury. As Lynn explained, the team was happy to hear the diagnosis remains the same even though Bosa remains week to week.
“It’s always good that it wasn’t something worse,” he said. “But, we’d love to have him back. But we’re not going to put him out there before he’s ready.”
Lynn expanded on those comments, explaining how the team will take a cautious approach when it comes to Bosa’s return to the field.
“He’s going to be out this week for sure, but we figured that,” he added. “We hope (to get him back). But we’re going to be really cautious with this injury because we don’t want it to linger. So, when he’s healthy, we’ll get him back out there.”

''From now it is going to be a week-to-week-type thing,'' Bosa said after practice. ''People keep asking me when I am going to be ready. The second my foot is ready to practice on a Wednesday I will play that week.
''I have that confidence. It is exciting to actually see a light at the end of the tunnel even though I don't know how long the tunnel is. It hasn't been a fun experience at all.''
The third-year defensive end hasn't played this season due to a bone bruise to his left foot. He first injured the foot during training camp on Aug. 7 and didn't play in any of the four preseason games. Bosa tried to rush back in time for the start of the regular season but reinjured the foot on Sept. 5 and has been sidelined since then.
Coach Anthony Lynn hasn't declared Bosa out for Sunday's game at Seattle but he hinted that Bosa wouldn't be doing any team or individual drills.
''He's getting close but it is still a process. I don't want to rule him out because he is getting closer,'' Lynn said. ''He may do some things on the side. He's been gradually working his way on the field.''
''You don't throw a guy right back into the fire who has been gone 8-9 weeks. I'm sure we'll work him slowly,'' Lynn said of Bosa, who has 23 sacks over the past two seasons.
''It has been really tough watching this season go by without having any impact at all,'' Bosa said.

Joey is an animal...I get that it's popular to say Nick might be better, and although he will be good as well... I just don't see it, Joeys ball get off and instinct combined with technique is just other worldly man
