DE Jonathon Cooper (2nd Team All American, Denver Broncos)

Cooper tripped and fell against Onwenu in his first rep, then proceeded to embarrass him the next two reps.

Michigan insiders are all over how Onwenu stonewalled him on the first rep.

Gotta keep the delusion strong!
Cool. You stopped him on a 1st down run for 2 yards.

He then sacked your quarterback on 2nd and 3rd and long. You're now punting.

It's possible I'm looking through scarlet shades... but it looked like the first one Onwenu was getting a good amount of helmet. I'm not sure how much is considered incidental, but he punched straight into the helmet... glad Cooper got his the next 2 reps.

Onewenu hit him and he stumbled. I think it is ok to say he won that one. The next one was tight, but Coop got the best of him in the end. The last one Coop made him look silly.

As I said a while ago, Owenu is extremely heavy footed but strong ,needs to drop the weights and pick up a yoga mat and a jump rope. Plus he actually overset the first rep, he could have easily been beat by an inside move.

First rep looks like a fluke in my opinion. Seems he tripped up. 2nd and 3rd rep Coop worked him over. Definitely see a 5th star coming. It's also good motivation to embarrass him in a couple years in the game can't wait to see this kid in S&G racking up sacks!

Cooper started so low in the rankings because he was thought of as a tweener initially. Obviously as he has continued to put on good weight and put in strong showings at elite camps his stock has continued to rise. I think the rating services will set a ceiling for him eventually based on his size. They like to reserve 5-star status for physical freaks who also possess elite skill. I would be pleasantly surprised to see him hit 5-star status but I think he will eventually be rated as one of the higher 4-stars when it is all said and done. Definitely a top 50 kid in my opinion and one who will not be outworked once he gets on campus.

Love seeing TeddyHeisman trolling Sam Webb on Twitter...

I must say I thought he'd be a linebacker by the time he got here as I wasn't too confident he could get his weight up but I must say his explosion off the ball, his ability to extend his arms, and his strength are extremely impressive. We are talking about a guy who was once under the radar because of his size but I have no doubt he will be a 250-255 pound guy by the time he's done here with a first step that unrivaled. We got a kid that by years end WILL be a five star player (heck he may be a five star guy once the camp circuit is over) now you combine that with Nick Bosa, Hall, and IMO a trending Rashan Gary you are talking about a epic trio which at worse is still Bosa, Hall, and Cooper which is still a great haul.

Very impressed with Cooper with how technical he is though and what he brings off the edge reminds me of a Thad Gibson with more strength.
