DE Nick Bosa (Pro Bowl, All Pro, 2019 ROY, 2022 DPOY, San Francisco 49ers)

I looked at every photo from this weeks Wednesdays event.. and shockingly did not see Nick Bosa trying to gain an internship?
what's he thinking? what if he doesn't get drafted?

I was at the event and saw Nick for a few minutes. Joked with my boss that Nick probably only went to see the Patriots booth and the Hall of Fame booth.

MAXWELL/BEDNARIK WATCH LISTS FOR BOSA; MAXWELL FOR DOBBINS

Nick Bosa, and sophomore running back J.K. Dobbins, were each named today to the watch list for the 82nd Maxwell Award, given annually to college football’s player of the year. Bosa was also named to the watch list for the 24th Bednarik Award. Both awards are presented by the Maxwell Football Club.

Bosa, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and St. Thomas Aquinas, is coming off a 2017 season in which he led the Buckeyes in tackles-for-loss (16.0) and TFL yardage (74) with another team-high in quarterback sacks with 8.0. He was second in the Big Ten in both TFLs and sacks.

In addition to being named a first-team All-American by the American Football Coaches Association, Bosa became the fourth consecutive Buckeye to earn the Big Ten Conference’s Smith-Brown defensive lineman of the year award, following in the trail blazed by his brother, Joey, in 2014 and 2015, and Tyquan Lewis in 2016.

2019 NFL Draft Big Board: Nick Bosa No. 1, QBs land 11 spots in preseason Top 100

Joey's brother is likely to hear his name called early in next year's defensive linemen-loaded draft

Nick Bosa enters his junior season for the Ohio State Buckeyes as my No. 1 overall prospect for the 2019 NFL Draft. And he was an easy choice.

1. Nick Bosa, DE, Ohio State

9. Dre'Mont Jones, DT, Ohio State

68. Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State

82. Tuf Borland, LB, Ohio State

93. Isaiah Prince, OT, Ohio State

SKULL SESSION: VEGAS FAVORS URBAN MEYER'S RETURN, JOE BURROW STARTS AT NO. 4 ON DEPTH CHART, AND JOEY BOSA SAYS NICK IS FURTHER ALONG

JOEY ADMIRES NEW MODEL BOSA.
Since Nick Bosa was a sophomore in high school, we've been hearing that he was just like his older brother, but better.

And as Nick enters his third, and almost-certainly final season at Ohio State, Joey is ready to join that bandwagon and admit that his little brother is undeniably further along than he was as a junior.

From SanDiegoUnionTribune.com:

“I don’t think it’s really close,” Bosa told the Union-Tribune earlier this summer, when asked to compare Nick as a true junior with Joey when he was entering his final season at Ohio State, also as a true junior.

“I think he’s pretty far ahead physically. He has a better understanding of pass-rushing than I did in college, that’s for sure.”

Considering that he was the first non-quarterback drafted in 2016, as the third selection, Joey acknowledged that he’s giving Nick a lot of love.

“It’s true, though,” he said.

“I don’t really give anybody credit for anything, even if it’s my brother,” he added. “It’s going to be fun to watch this year.”

If Nick Bosa could have left college after last season, I firmly believe he would have been a first-round pick without technically ever being a starter at Ohio State, simply because he's just a newer model of his older brother, who is dominating the league after just two seasons.
