DE Nick Bosa (Pro Bowl, All Pro, 2019 ROY, 2022 DPOY, San Francisco 49ers)

I think "Little" Bosa would be more amusing

Well you know it's not often that a sequel is better than the original. I might not recall it correctly but I thought he went from good to downright nasty after UNLV scored. If he can recreate that from here on out he might end up being regarded as the best defensive lineman to ever play here. He's been good but that was the first time I think he ever just seemed pissed.

Through their first 17 games:

Joey: 17.5 TFL, 9.0 sacks
Nick: 14.0 TFL, 8.0 sacks

The sequel has a little catching up to do, but he certainly has the talent to get there.
Major difference is Joey was depended to provide production ASAP but Nick wasn't needed like that due to our depth. Also with Nick coming off of the knee injury you have to figure that set his playing time back last year. Overall obviously very comparable and arguably every bit as good.

The original also had almost no one in front of him. Nick won't enjoy that luxury until good final year.

Edit: what he said

what they said

be interested to see the difference in number of snaps at this point in their careers and then look at how similar the production is

my guess is that Nick has done more on a per snap basis
