DE Robert Rose (Official Thread)

Airspace said:
Ted Ginn Sr was on WBNS and said that 30 minutes ago that Coach Tressel offered Rob Rose and Brandon Smalls for next year. He was on talking about Lennix and O'Neal.
This has already been reported in numerous threads...

FYI, his name is Raymond Small, not Brandon Smalls...

VG,

I know this goes back a while but on your Website I think you had mentioned Rose as Sophomore and said the kid looked like a beast. I'm pretty sure it was when Ginn Jr. was a Senior. I hope he verbals, sounds like this kid is special.

From the OSU site...Robert is going to wait until Signing Day next year to make a decision. He is also intersted in Iowa and Michigan State. OSU, MSU, Akron, Ball State, and Eastern Michigan have offered.

I agree with you 44820. I am going to chalk this up to the usual Glenville recruiting machine and not worry about it until I hear him say he is not favoring OSU anymore.

even if he does say such, i still wouldnt buy it until he signs his name on another team's LOI. Lenix continually professed iowa was his leader, he took his official to columbus, and the rest is history.

Good point tsteele...I should have said signed his LOI, not professed a new favorite.

Read Gary's chat on BNpremium http://ohiostate.scout.com/2/351290.html

Lets just say that he gave several smilies :) :) on Rose and Small. But as all Glenville kids, they would wait until the end.

Of course Gary has been wrong in the past but when its comes to Glenville, I trust him more than anyone.

I mentioned on another thread that both Rose & Small are going to take their visits( and parties, food, etc.) but will be coming to OSU.

I saw Rose in the Warren Harding -Glenville game. What a stud. And DE is where he should play.

By Helwagen...Purdue, Iowa, and Maryland are very interested. He got a lot of attention following his performance in San Antonio. Rob says TG Sr. cares more about his player than winning and most coaches aren't like that. He probably won't decide until next Signing Day.

SCOUT$ (Nebraska site)

Article talked about his size and the amazing performance he put on at the junior combine in San Antonio. Nebraska has sent him a letter and he is interested in them.

Rose said he has interest in everyone right now and is listing tOSU, Ball State, Michigan, Michigan State, Akron, Iowa, Boston College, Purdue, Duke.

It doesn't surprise me that Rose will wait. Coach Ginn seems to encourages all his players to take their visits before committing. Last year Iowa was listed as Lenix's favorite for most of the year. Also, Ted Ginn and others from Glenville committed late in the recruiting process. I have no doubt that both Rose and Small will be Buckeyes. But don't expect it to happen before January 2006.
Go Bucks! :osu4:
